Summary: The bad bits...sofa unbearably uncomfortable. CCTV intrusive. Alarm failed twice and we felt uncomfortable having to set at night.....thus then did not feel safe. Didnt like the way the access to the cleaners part was through our garden as it was for a the poolman and some miserable bloke that we think lived next door. On I think sunday we were trying to relax and we had a stream of.people accessing our space. Did not like the windows from next door overlooking the pool which were always open, lacked the privacy wed wanted. Got eaten alive as did all the people we met on the island but my expectations of James's villas is to have warned us so we could have come equip. No warning in the villa no protection bar a net that does not fit. TV too difficult to use and no instructions. Upstairs shower far to small a unit to comfortably shower in. No one has a bath lets be honest not when its 30 degrees. No supplies on arrival, wine fine but can't drink the water and it's by far the cheapest commodity around so a 6 ok would not hurt. Our bed was poor to our home standards. And I think that's my point...if you can't come on holiday to relax across the board, from outside to inside to sleeping comfortably then what do you do? What should we expect.. the good bits... we loved the view, the pool, the location, the local restaurants. It's a great villa but it's done on the cheap and that's not reflective in what wed paid. So next time I book in will be sure to ask a myriad of questions and if they cant be answered then I'll go back to Airbnb which are by far crushing your business with the real traveller as we get to spewk with the owner directly and make sure every detail is right...and receive basic food stuffs on arrival, mostly.
